Drake has cleared up speculation on his latest album artwork for "Nothing Was The Same," and gave the real story behind the illustration, indicating that the younger version of him on the cover is not Beyonce's and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy.

In an interview with MTV, the rapper gave the true story behind the artwork.

"When it's positioned on the shelf, whatever store you go to, if they do it as I've asked [laughs], you'll see the fact that it's a child version of myself staring at myself now. Sometimes when I try and think back on this journey, it's so hard to pinpoint all of these moments and it gets foggy," he said.

The cover shows Drake's evolution from childhood to manhood. The artwork was designed by artist Kadir Nelson, the same person who created the cover for Michael Jackson's. album Michael. One side shows a profile of the Drake as a baby boy with an Afro pick in his hair, while the other reveals a grown up Drake.

"I've been trying to tell this story, I've got there, but maybe not got there all the way. And what that album art is to me is, like, this is my most clean, concise thoughts from now, and my best recollection of then. That's really what that cover's about," he said.

The Canadian rapper revealed the two covers on his OVOSound.com website and announced the new September 24 release date.

Meanwhile, Drake made recent headlines after he was spotted on a romantic dinner date in NYC with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Reports indicated that the two have rekindled their romance after onlookers saw Drake give Rihanna a kiss on her cheek, Enstars reported earlier.
