Erika Lane Kirk, maiden name Frantzve, the young widow of murdered conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has a long history in community service, faith-based projects, and public life. She was born on November 20, 1988, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Erika Kirk grew up in a Catholic household in Scottsdale, where she began volunteering at a young age. She attended Notre Dame Preparatory High School and played both basketball and volleyball. She later joined Regis University in Denver as a student athlete before transferring to Arizona State University, where she earned a degree in political science and international relations, says a profile in People.
According to her bio, posted in her own website, she continued her studies at Liberty University, completing a Juris Master in American Legal Studies and a Doctorate in Christian Leadership with a focus on Biblical Studies.
On her 23rd birthday, in 2012, Frantzve won the title of Miss Arizona USA. She went on to compete in Miss USA that year, though she did not place in the top 16.
Frantzve has been active in nonprofit work since her teenage years. At 18, she created Everyday Heroes Like You, a nonprofit designed to highlight people making a difference in their communities. She later founded Bible in 365, a ministry project, and PROCLAIM, a faith-based clothing line made in the United States.
She also hosts the devotional podcast Midweek Rise Up, which focuses on biblical teachings and spiritual leadership.
Before establishing her nonprofit and faith-centered projects, Frantzve worked in modeling, acting, and casting. She spent time in New York and overseas, including China, in these creative roles.
Marriage to Charlie Kirk
Frantzve began dating Charlie Kirk around 2018 or 2019. They became engaged in December 2020 and were married on May 8, 2021, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The couple welcomed a daughter in August 2022 and a son in May 2024. Kirk stated publicly that they preferred to keep their children's names and faces out of the public eye.
On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
