Weeks after Miley Cyrus gave a risque performance at the 2013 Video Music Awards people are still talking about it, and the latest to comment on the stage set was Lady Gaga.

The Applause singer was a guest on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night and the pair got to answering questions about Gaga's sexuality and drug use. Cohen asked her when was the last time she did Molly, also known as MDMA ot ecstasy, and the New York native answered "maybe it's hard to remember" before saying she would "definitely not encourage it."

After the drug question Cohen got to asking about Cyrus' VMA performace on Aug. 25, in which she twerked on stage and grinded on Robin Thicke while wearing nude-colored shorts and a bra.

"By the way, what did you think of Miley at the VMAs?" Cohen asked.

Gaga, who also performed at the VMAs, defended the Wrecking Ball singer and applauded Cyrus' artistic performance.

"I just think everybody needs to lighten up and leave her alone," Gaga started off by saying. "Because it's pop music, everybody's entitled to their own artistic expression and if you have a problem with it just change the channel."

"I don't understand the obsessive need to constantly go on and on about hating things all the time," she added, "because, what, she's 20 years old and if anything, I give her props. She's growing up in front of the entire world and maybe she's not so happy with the things she did in her career when she was younger and she wants to be free. So let her do what she wants."
