Patsy Swayze, the mother of late actor Patrick Swayze, died Monday night at her home in Simi Valley, Calif. She was 86.

According the E! Online, no cause of death was given for the choreographer and dance instructor.

The news of her passing comes just two days after the fourth anniversary of Patrick's death.

Patsy taught dance at the University of Houston for 18 years and was a choreographer at both the Houston Playhouse Center and the Houston Youth Symphony and ballet Company, before founding and directing the Houston Jazz Ballet Company.

Patsy also choreographed several films, including 1980's Urban Cowboy, 1982's Liars Moon and 1998's Hope Floats.

She moved to Simi Valley after working on Urban Cowboy, according to the New York Daily News.

"It was rural, like Texas, and the three children still living at home could have horses and dogs," Swayze said of her new home in 1991.

Some of her famous students over the years included Jaclyn Smith, Randy Quaid, Tommy Tune, Debbie Allen, and son Patrick's future wife, Lisa Niemi Swayze. Niemi married Patrick in 1975.

All five of her children later went on to become actors and dancers themselves.

Patsy is survived by three of her children, sons Don and Sean, and daughter Bambi.

Her husband Jesse passed away in 1982, while other daughter Vickie died in 1994.

Patrick Swayze, best known for his leading roles in Dirty Dancing and Ghost, died in 2009 at 57 after battling pancreatic cancer.

No funeral information has been released.
