Justin Bieber Boyfriend Video Love Interest Rachel Barnes is Married [Photos]
It was widely reported that Justin Bieber personally asked to have a Selena Gomez look-alike to play his love interest in his hit video, "Boyfriend". The charming girl comes out with straight dark hair and eyes.
But Beliebers are not to be too worried by this young lady. The woman featured in the video, Rachel Barnes, is married and has been since last year. She told TMZ: "Justin and Selena are adorably inseparable and I, myself, am already married." She continued: "It's been great to be a part of the Bieber madness ... even if only for a song."
In "Boyfriend," Bieber puts his arms around her, dances with her and hugs her inside a sports car.
Bieber had previously said that this song is about Selena Gomez. "She loves it [the single]. I mean, it is about her," he told Carson Daly at AMP Radio on March 28.
Bieber's video premiered on May 3 and has since racked over 14 million views to date. His video broke VEVO's record.
VEVO tweeted: "WOW. Considering 24hrs haven't even passed and @JustinBieber's #BOYFRIENDvideo is already over 5M, it's safe to say the new record is his!"
Bieber tweeted in response: "@VEVO that is because of my fans. the #beliebers - i love them. always there for me. im always gonna be there for them. #FAMILY. THANK U".
