Kanye West spoke with the paparazzi on Friday, but unlike previous times, this encounter was pleasant.

The rapper, who was stopped at a Los Angeles gas station, spoke about his daughter, North West, and expressed his concern for her safety.

"I couldn't imagine my daughter being like 4 years old, and you guys screaming at her. I think somebody screamed at Tom Cruise's daughter or something like that," he said.

The event he's referring to happened in June, when a paparazzo called Suri Cruise a "b--ch." The 7-year-old and her mother, Katie Holmes, were scuffling through the paparazzi to get to their car.

The Yeezus rapper, however, doesn't seem to have a problem with paparazzi focusing their attention on him.

"I know you guys are gonna photograph me. I know I have a cool a-- car and s--t, like I got a dope a-- outfit on," he explained. "It's all good."

West also spoke about a previous and hostile July encounter he had with a paparazzo, who is now suing him. He called the lawsuit fraudulent.

"I'm dealing with some guy setting me up at the airport the other day. You know he's f--king laughing and shit. What I didn't get to say on Jimmy Kimmel - that's the day I found out that my grandfather was not gonna make it. He passed two weeks later," Kanye said.

The paparazzo stated that West attacked him after he asked to get a word with the rapper.

"But I'm coming out the airport, because you know, 'It's Kanye whatever, they're gonna f--k with him and antagonize him.' But I tried to stop his camera and stuff, then he fell down and faked it and everybody was like, 'Oh yo, why'd you hit that guy?' Obviously I didn't hit the guy," West said.
