When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed North West on June 15, she became an instant celebrity as paparazzi tried desperately to snap a picture of the newborn.
While Kim and Kanye could've probably received millions selling an image of North, the couple decided to debut the first cute photo on Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner's talk show in August.
"To stop all the noise, I thought it'd be really cool, on her grandmother's season finale, to bring a picture of North," West said.

Aside from struggling with aggressive paparazzi, the couple also has to deal with people who have criticized their parenting skills. For example, in November Kardashian bashed a Twitter user who implied that the couple neglects the newborn.
"U sound so ignorant. Bc I don't tweet or instagram my every move w my daughter means I am not with her 247? We share what we want. Or is it bc I go support my fiance at every show & I post pix? When the baby goes down 4 bed or a nap, parents are allowed 2 work & support each other, maybe even have fun too," the reality star responded.
They've also received criticism for choosing the unique baby name. However, North's grandmother explained the metaphorical meaning behind the couple's choice.
"The way she explained it to me was North means 'highest power,' and she says that North is [Kim and Kanye's] highest point together," Jenner said on The View in June. "And I thought that was really sweet."
