An extended new trailer for the indie drama Breathe In starring Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones has been released.

The film revolves around a foreign exchange student named Sophie (Jones) from England who attends a school in New York where she develops a relationship with her married music teacher, Keith (Pearce). Sophie is a piano player and Keith is inspired by her talent.

Keith has his own share of drama with his wife and daughter while he and Sophie connect with each other through music and the art of creative expression. This leads Sophie to change Keith's life as well as the lives of his family.

The trailer starts off with Keith in his music class where he calls Sophie up and asks her to play something on the piano.

"I just haven't really prepared anything," Sophie says, to which Keith replies, "It doesn't matter. It's just a way of saying hi."

Sophie cautiously makes her way to the piano where her fingers touch they keys and the music blends into the remainder of the trailer.

The rest of the trailer goes through a montage of romance, intense dialogue and tears.

Breathe In is directed by Drake Doremus, who directed Like Crazy, which also starred Jones.

The film also stars Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone) and Mackenzie Davis who will play in That Awkward Moment alongside Zac Efron.

Pearce's other credits include Prometheus, The Hurt Locker and Memento. He will also be in The Rover along with Robert Pattinson.

Breathe In will come to theaters on March 28.
