Daniel Radcliffe returns to Broadway in the production of The Cripple of Inishmaan, set to open at the Cort Theater, N.Y. this April.

The story takes place in the 1930s and focuses on the inhabitants of an island in Ireland who hear that a Hollywood movie will be filmed nearby, according to Variety. Radcliffe will play the cripple named Billy who aims to star in the production.

The producers of the show include the Garndage Company and Arielle Tepper Mandover, an American producer who collaborated with the Garndage Company on Red, Frost/Nixon and Hamlet.

Previews are set to start April 12 and opening night is April 20. The show runs through July 20. Producers announced that over 10,000 tickets throughout the run will be available at $27. Tickets went on sale Friday, Jan. 17.

Radcliffe appeared in Broadway shows before: he had a full-frontal nude scene in 2008's Equus and a starring role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2011.

Radcliffe is most commonly known for playing the titular role in all eight Harry Potter films. The actor won a group People's Choice Award in 2012 for Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast, which he shared with co-stars, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. He also won an MTV Movie Award in 2012 for Best Hero for his reprisal as the star wizard in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Radcliffe's other credits include The Woman in Black, Horns and The F Word. He is scheduled to star in Frankenstein, where he will play Igor, and play a Western journalist in Tokyo Vice. Both films are scheduled to hit theaters in 2015.
