Director Colin Trevorrow recently revealed that The Amazing Spider-Man's cinematographer will be working on Jurassic World

Trevorrow has been pretty good about keeping fans up to date with the latest developments of the project, especially when it comes to the behind-the-scenes craftsmen, via his Twitter account.

The director announced that cinematographer John Schwartzmann was coming on board for the fourth film in the iconic franchise.

"Honored to be working with cinematographer John Schwartzman on Jurassic World, shooting this April on 35mm and 65mm film. @Kodak @Panavision," the director tweeted.

Schwartzmann has worked on films like The Amazing Spider-Man, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon and National Treasure: Book of Secrets, in the past.

In December last year, Trevorrow had revealed that Star Wars visual effects legend Phil Tippett was joining the crew to work with the franchise for the second time.

Tippett was credited as a "dinosaur supervisor" in the first film, in which he was initially meant to use the go-motion technique which he had mastered for the Empire Strikes Back. But Steven Spielberg changed his mind and chose to go with CGI instead and Tippett supervised the animators.

Trevorrow has also given away a few plot details about the film via his Twitter account recently. By way of a response to a fan query the director revealed that the new film will be a sequel and not a reboot. He suggested that the film will be set 22 years in the future.

The film will star Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt and Ty Simpkins.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film hits theaters June 12, 2015.
