After it was announced that Adam driver from HBO's Girls was close to getting a part in Star Wars: Episode VII, it looks like the next actor who's in talks is High School Musical star Zac Efron.

On Tuesday, Metro reported that Efron wasn't sure if he was going to be making an appearance in the new flick when he was on the red carpet at the Oscars.

The Neighbors star was talking to Ryan Seacrest when he said, "Is it true? I don't even know yet."

Adam Driver To Play The Villain In Seventh Film?

"I guess the force is with me tonight," Efron joked.

This creates more speculation if the actor will make an appearance in the film since he teased to MTV last month that he met with Disney about the film.

"I just went and met with them. So I don't know," Efron said. "It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but who knows?"

According to Market Saw, there is also a possibility that the film's plot will be about twins.

"Ultimately it's about twins, and which will take a path towards darkness and which will follow in their father's footsteps, or at least that is what it used to be, that may come later as I think changes are being undertaken to bring the original cast into the forefront of the story leading to ramifications that lead up to the next generation of Skywalkers," a source revealed.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
