Jeremy Irons, who is set to play Alfred the butler in Batman vs. Superman, recently revealed that the film's script hasn't even been finished yet.

Former Batman Discusses Ben Affleck Casting & Criticism

Irons spoke with Absolute Radio about his upcoming role as Alfred, butler to Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) in Batman vs. Superman, revealing that the official script has not been turned in yet.

"The script isn't entirely finished," he said, later adding: "I've read a script [but] I think it's not finalized yet."

Irons also discussed having Affleck in the role of Batman, praising the actor amid the controversy of his casting.

"I think [Affleck's casting] is a wonderful idea," he admitted. "He's a lovely man and an interesting actor. I'm looking forward to getting to know him. I've only met him once."

There have been rumors floating around that Batman vs. Superman has already begun filming in its Michigan location, though based on Irons comments, they might be filming with only a partial script.

In other Batman vs. Superman, there are reports claiming that the Batmobile for the film is finished. Batman's latest ride is "finished, but no one's seen it," according to a Warner Bros. official.

Cassandra Salapatas-Metz, assistant director of transportation at Warner Bros., revealed that the Batmobile was essentially ready at a company event this week. She also answered a question on whether or not the Batmobile might be revealed at the 2014 Comic-Con.

"Well, I'm not at liberty to say, but I think you might have a point there," she said. "But I think.. let's put it this way, it's been spoken of.. so always possible. We're at the ready, us teamsters.. we're ready to roll if need be."

Batman vs. Superman stars Affleck as Batman, Irons as Alfred, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

Batman vs. Superman is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
