'Terminator 5' News: The New Sarah Connor, Emilia Clarke, Was Made to Dance for an Audition? [VIDEO]
Terminator 5 star Emilia Clarke recalled her Game of Thrones audition on The Tonight Show on the night of March 19, suggesting that she was asked to dance.
Clarke, who is set to take on the part of Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genesis, spoke to Jimmy Fallon about the other fiesty heroine -- Daenerys Targaryen aka Mother of Dragons -- she plays on the small screen. With the fourth season of Game of Thrones right around the corner (April 6), she recollected her experience auditioning for the part, suggesting that after she read her scenes, co-creator David Benioff asked her to dance. Quite stumped by the request, the 26-year-old actress did the Funky Chicken.
Recently, Clarke also spoke about playing the formidable Sarah Connor with UK Instyle. She said that she had been following a very strict diet to portray Connor.
She dished about the diet and rigorous training regimen she has been undergoing to play the tough mother of John Connor in the sci-fi film. She has not only had to give up her favorite foods but is also forbidden from touching the following edibles: wheat, sugar, caffeine and dairy products.
"I've been spending all day every day, in weapons training. I've been shooting guns, weightlifting, kickboxing and generally kicking a lot of a**," she said. "On top of that, I have not been allowed to eat anything that might taste good at all."
Terminator 5 is scheduled for release on July 1, 2015.
