Taylor Swift spent the 4th of July on a romantic date on the beach with Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of movie star gone politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. While there is no official word if the two are a couple, according to TMZ.com the couple has been spotted with several members of the Kennedy family.

Swift is a largely successful singer, song writer and musician. She made her debut in 2006 with a self-titled multiplatinum album and was nominated for award at 50th Grammy Awards. Just two years later  she released her second album, "Fearless." This album grabbed several awards including the Academy of Country Music's "Female Vocalist of the Year" Award, the American Music Awards "Favorite Female Country Artist" award, and the American Music Association's "Horizon". Fearless hit the top of both the country and pop charts. In 2008, Swift was deemed the highest-selling country artist of 2008.

Her success from Fearless continued in 2009 when Swift obtained several more awards including "Video of the Year" and "Female Video of the Year" for "Love Story" at the CMT Music Awards.

One of her most controversial incidence took place on September 13, 2009, when Swift attended the MTV awards. She won the MTV Video Music Award for "Best Female Video," making her the first country music star to win an MTV Video Music Award.

The win was over shadowed when rapper Kanye West leaped to the stage during Swift's speech, took the microphone, and declared that R&B singer Beyoncé should have won Swift's award. After West's remarks, Swift was unable to make her acceptance speech due to a stage of shock. However, Beyoncé later asked Swift to come on stage and allowed her to finish her speech.

Despite a hugely successful career, the 22-year-old country star hasn't been able to have the same luck with love. In the past, Swift has been linked to many other famous males including Joe Jonas and John Mayer.

Although Swift may currently be the lady in Schwarzenegger's life, it hasn't always been that way. Just a year ago, the 18-year-old entrepreneur told reporters that "My eye is set on Miley."
