Trevorrow tweeted about the filming on June 13. He seemed to be thanking all the extras who helped finish a scene:

"All my gratitude to our background actors in New Orleans. The bar has been raised for running and screaming," he tweeted.

Earlier on the same day, he retweeted one of the extras' tweets relating to the filming. One of the actors showed off the Jurassic World bands they got after doing their bit for the dinosaur thriller.

"Just finished filming #JurassicWorld and we got to take a prop home with us: our Jurassic World park bands!!!"

The bands came in two shades, blue and black with the Jurassic World logo emblazoned in white on them.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
