After yesterday's shocking report that Portia de Rossi went to rehab in May, now new information is coming out about why Ellen DeGeneres' wife may have gone in the first place.

In Touch Weekly reported that de Rossi entered the Passages Malibu rehab facility in early May 2014 for a 30-day treatment. Although a source told the magazine that DeGeneres visited her wife every weekend while she was in there, a fight with the talk show host may have sent her there in the first place.

"Portia hadn't been happy for a while and was drinking and isolating, and Ellen confronted her," a source told the magazine. "Portia lost it and blamed Ellen for driving her to drink because of her controlling ways and said she wasn't in love with her anymore. Ellen was crushed and screamed at Portia to get out."

De Rossi had admitted in the past that she struggled with an eating disorder most of her life. The actress even told Oprah Winfrey, in 2010, that she weighed just 82 pounds in 2010. "It wasn't that I was proud of it," de Rossi said. "But it was certainly a recognition for my self control."

Although there has been no confirmation on why de Rossi entered Passages Malibu this time, the facility told Page Six that "the primary issue has to be a substance abuse issue, because that's what we're licensed as."

There have been many rumors that de Rossi and DeGeneres are about to split up, although the couple has adamantly denied any such report.

"It's what anyone experiences when you find that person that gets you, wants to take care of you, wants the best for you," the Ellen host has said in the past. "We're really lucky because we know how rare it is."
