Teresa Giudice might not be the only star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey heading to a courtroom this season.

Melissa Gorga Moves To Evict Tenant DETAILS

Her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and her husband, Joe Gorga, filed a lawsuit against a tenant of their home for several missed payments. But the tenant turned the tables on the reality TV couple when he claimed that the home was infested with trash and wild animals. Now the defendant, Kai Patterson, has made it clear that he not only wants to stay in the home, but wants to come to an agreement with the Gorgas.

He said Wednesday, "We just had a home inspection. We're trying to settle the matter. I just needed to get a better understanding of the scope of problems."

He added that as part of the settlement agreement, both parties would have to refrain from making "disparaging remarks about each other."

"Rather than make disparaging remarks or provide anything that would damage the settlement relationship, it's just easier for me to go ahead and settle...

What I am proposing is I go ahead and pay them and have it credited to the purchase price and that will put this matter to bed. I do want to make sure that he [Joe Gorga] is aware of what we found. I am willing ot pay to fix it. I just didn't understand the scope of the problems until I moved in."

A faulty water heater, smashed pipes and faucets, broken fireplaces, bathrooms sand shower doors, chipped marble stairs and being subject to construction workers dumping garbage on his land are just some of the home repairs Patterson said still needs to be fixed. That doesn't include a t-shirt in the fireplace used to keep out cold and stop beavers from caping out in the crawl spaces.
