While she avidly promoted a party for The Real Housewives of New Jersey season six premiere, Teresa Giudice has ruffled Bravo executives' feathers as she is a no-show for several vital appearances.

Teresa Giudice's 'RHONJ' Co-Stars Fail To Show Support At Father-In-Law's Funeral

She was MIA for an interview with The Today Show Wednesday that featured her co-stars. An insider told Radar Online, "It's very frustrating for Bravo...They tried to tell Teresa that she was contractually obligated to show but her legal crisis manager, Wendy Feldman, shut that down. Teresa's contract is actually very loose, and doesn't clearly dictate what media she must do."

The source continued and said Giudice tries to avoid questions about her fraud sentencing scheduled for September.

"Teresa doesn't want to talk about the upcoming sentence because she is afraid of doing anything that would negatively impact the proceedings. It's a delicate balance, and Teresa is relying on the guidance of Wendy, much to Bravo's dismay."

On top of her issues with the law, Giudice's father-in-law, Frank, passed away just last month.

The source added, "It's a very difficult time for Teresa and her family, with their uncertain futures and the loss of Joe's dad. She just wants to be with her girls and Joe, and not do any of this press. She will do several interviews and that is it. Bravo has to respect the process and what she is going through.

Still, Giudice will make an appearance for media day in New York City Thursday, but it will be "on a limited basis."

The insider also said Giudice is hesitant about showing her legal woes on the show. But fans saw in one of the trailers for the season that it will be a key storyline for the Giudice family.

"Teresa has denied in the past that she will let Bravo exploit her children by showing them upset. But in the end it's all about the ratings."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns to Bravo Sunday at 8/7c.
