The blurry past of this year's newest superhero squad the Guradians of the Galaxy is becoming a little less ambiguous with the addition of two new television spots highlighting Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista).

Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Tracking To Open At $60 Million

While seeing the new footage is refreshing, it also seems like the trailers and spots for Guardians of the Galaxy are hitting the point of becoming repetitive. Marvel seems to be worried about how audiences will react to this oddball group of heroes, but it has shown through early tracking that the film will do just fine.

The first television spot highlights Gamora and her past, as well as her present with Peter Quill or Star Lord. A few added scenes between Quill and Gamora with a flurry of moments that show that they will be film's romantic partners offers a different angle that fans haven't seen yet during the initial trailers.

The second spot highlights Drax, who has been seen so far with little exposure for just him. Bautista seems to be having a ball with the role and a few scenes, espeically one with a knife, show that Drax will be able to generate a few laughs as well as kick butt.

Directed by James Gunn from a script by Gunn and Nicole Perlman, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Pratt as Peter Quill or Star-Lord who teams up with a group of criminals, including Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Gamora, and Drax to rid the universe from Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). The film also stars Glenn Close, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin as the voice of Thanos.
