While the judges on NBC's America's Got Talent are looking for some serious skills onstage, behind the scenes they enjoy hanging out, having a few laughs, and in some cases, getting up close and a little too personal.

'America's Got Talent' Renewed For 10th Season On NBC

Recently judges Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel were backstage while Klum noticed a single, long hair growing out of Mandel's shaved head.

"It's so long," insisted Klum disapprovingly, "I'm gonna tweeze it."

Mandel was hardly enthusiastic about the idea, claiming that she shouldn't go through with it. "No, you don't tweeze hair," he insisted, "That's my hair."

Klum persisted, however, and Mandel started laughing defensively. "But at the end of the day I comb it over," he explained.

His fellow judge was persistent and found herself a pair of tweezers. The process proved painful, Mandel who winced audibly when the hair was removed. As Klum held the hair up victoriously for him to see, Mandel insisted she give it back and jokingly placed it atop his head before asking others in the room how it looked.

Reruns of the series' ninth season have dominated the ratings this summer, and so the upcoming new episodes are likely to increase viewership even more. This past week NBC decided to renew the talent competition for a tenth season as a direct result of its performance over the past few weeks.

America's Got Talent returns to NBC next Tuesday with all new episodes and "boot camp," which will help narrow down the field of contestants.
