The Dark Knight Rises trailer shows only a little bit of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman role. According the Christopher Nolan, the director of the film, Hathaway "nailed" the character.

"[Catwoman] is the most alive presence in the movie in the beginning, and she also helps draw Bruce Wayne (Batman) out of his shell. She's a breath of fresh air...and Anne Hathaway just nails the character, delightfully," Nolan said in an interview with CNN.

The role is Catwoman is an iconic one and lengendary in popular culture. Previous actresses tackling the role include Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry. However, Nolan claims Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises brings in a new take to the role and is a "delight to watch."

"Anne is incredibly precise and articulate about the psychology of the character. She's really built it from the ground up, it's just a delight to watch her perform," the director said. "She's an incredible character and we're very excited to see her and hopefully we'll leave people wanting more."

Nolan wasn't the only one singing praises for Hathaway as Catwoman. Seth Meyers, co-host of Live With Kelly, admitted to Hathaway on the show that her performance in The Dark Knight Rises was amazing.

"I saw it, and you're amazing. You're the best Catwoman I've ever seen. It's really great. It's really awesome." Meyers added, "It's the greatest looking cat-suit I've ever seen."

At this, Hathaway confessed that while the Catwoman accessories are leather, the actual suit is neoprene. Meyer's was still impressed by Hathaway's dynamic movements in the outfit.

"That looks like an outfit that you wouldn't be able to do a ton of moving in, but you do more movement in that than I do in like anything. You do things in the most constricting suit that I can't like do in pajamas," he said on the talk show.

"It was great. I love it. It's really exciting, and everybody should see it," Meyers concluded.

The Dark Knight Rises is the uber anticipated third installment to the latest Batman series. This film follows the 2008 film, The Dark Knight, in which Heath Ledger played The Joker along side Christian Bale as the leading hero. Ledger's performance as the diabolical villain was so captivating that he became one of few posthumous Academy-Award winning actors for a supporting role.

The final installment of the trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, can be seen in theatres on July 20.
