Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell and Justin Bieber are in the midst of a very heated battle over Twitter, with their fans continuing to speak up and defend the side they support.

Bell posted some bad mouthing comments regarding Bieber and his followers which has only escalated into a Twitter war between the two fronts.

It began when Bell criticized Katy Perry on her 3-D concert documentary, tweeting, "@katyperry these biography movies about artists who have been in the market place for 5 years is ridiculous!!!"

Later claiming that his account was hacked, suggesting that perhaps done by former reps, he took to apologizing to Perry, but not without saying a little something about Bieber.

"I wouldn't randomly bash @katyperry...bieber however lol," the "Drake and Josh" star tweeted.

Bieber's followed wasted no time responding back to Bell and defending their beloved "Boyfriend" singer.  Bell saw this and refused to back down, continuing to talk badly about Bieber and his fans, posting, "I haven't listened to much Justin Bieber but his songs must be full of hate and rage because that's what his believers are filled with."

Beiber fans went all out on Bell after that. Beliebing since '90 tweeted, "@DrakeBell lol omg are you still hating on Justin? Somebody doesn't have a life..." while Sliggity posted "@DrakeBell when will you actually realize that Justin's hair costs more that your house? Burned."

Others continued sending hate messages to Bell, some filled with profanities, and even Beiber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, wrote to the Nickelodeon star "shoot yourself."

Bell did not back down from the attacks and continued to make fun of Bieber and his fans.

"I used to worry about being a good role model and not using profanity in my media but obviously if this is how beiber fans act...," he posted on July 23. Later he created the trending topic "Drakesters vs Beliebers" and continued to ridicule Bieber fans by adding, "Drakesters vs beliebers? Crazy at least ours is spelled correctly. Ok first blieber with proper grammar that speaks with intelligence gets a prize...ready go!"

While Bieber fans have missioned themselves to defend their pop star favorite, Bieber himself took the mature route of not getting involved in the back and forth dispute and instead simply tweeting on July 23, "Drake and Josh was my favorite show as a kid. Really."

On the Facebook front, a group emerged called Drake Bell vs Justin Bieber. The initial feud, which first involved Perry and spiraled into a rampage against Bieber, started weeks ago but continues to be strong over Twitter, with supporters from each side battling it out with attacking remarks.
