Carly Rae Jepsen has been caught up in another sex scandal just days after denying another leaked sex tape. It has now been reported that a police investigation has been launched after a hacker allegedly stole nude photos from her computer.

The Canadian singer, most famous for her hit single "Call Me Maybe," has made the claim that someone hacked into her personal computer and stole the naked pictures to try and sell them to newspapers and magazines for cash, The Sun newspaper has reported.

Reports have explained that Jepsen apparently received an anonymous tip about the stolen naked photos in March of this year. That shocking news prompted the singer and her representatives to contact the Vancouver Police Department to report the crime.

Canadian authorities have confirmed that an investigation is now underway "in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen," The Sun confirmed.

Earlier this week Jepsen was put on the defensive after a sex tape emerged and went viral online featuring a woman looking like her. However, Jepsen came out to deny that the woman in the video was her, and she further denied that she had a sex tape.

Jepsen took to Twitter to rebuke the sex tape claims: "Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me."

This would not be the first case of mistaken identity with regards to Jepsen. The singer was also previously faced with allegations that naked pictures of her had been leaked online. She again denied the photos were of her, and eventually it emerged that the nude photos were of a 21-year-old model named Destiny Benedict who also resembles Jepsen.

"This is 200% NOT Carly" Jepsen's representative confirmed immediately after the release of the photos.

Jepsen emerged on the global scene in 2011 after being promoted by mentor and teen pop sensation Justin Bieber. Her single "Call Me Maybe" reached number 1 in numerous countries across the globe. More recently Jepsen was confirmed to be a supporting act for Bieber for his 2012/2013 Believe Tour which begins on September 29.
