Sherri Shepherd visited The Wendy Williams Show this morning (Sept. 17), to set the record straight on everything from her feelings about The View, to her ex-husband drama and her new role in Cinderella on Broadway. Though she is currently in court, battling a number of things, she set discussed as much as she could about the numerous rumors surrounding her public life.

Sherri Shepherd Stars Alongside Keke Palmer in 'Cinderella'

Shepherd announced in early July that she would not be returning to her seat on The View, after 7 years on the show. But, contrary to popular belief, she does not hate any of the new co-hosts. As a matter of fact, she tuned in to the season premiere on Sept. 15. “I love the hot topics, I love when everyone gets into it… But I think everyone was a bit nervous,” she said.

Rosie Perez, Nicole Wallace (known as “The Republican”) and Rosie O’Donnell have joined Whoopi Goldberg on the award-winning ABC daytime talk show. To Shepherd, “Everyone still has to get used to each other,” but she is certainly supportive of all of the new additions—especially the ‘Rosies.’ It was O’Donnell who gave Sherri advice on how to negotiate her contract when she first got on the show in 2007.

She later added, “Matter of fact… I kept throwing out jokes and I was like ‘Why ain’t nobody listening?”

Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy Leave 'The View'

In her personal life, Sherri has regained full custody of her son Jeffrey from her ex-husband Jeff Tarpley, who tried to imply that she was a misfit mother. And though she understand why Jeff and her second ex Sal have joined forces, which she referred to as “nasty”, she is refusing to let any of the legal drama slow her career down.
