Switched At Birth star Lea Thompson has been having quite a busy schedule lately with her competition on Dancing With the Stars, which might cause some speculation on how that might interfere with her role on the ABC Family series.

Will A Former 'Switched At Birth' Character Return For Flashbacks?

The actress who's known for playing Kathryn on the show recently dished to Yahoo! TV on Monday on how she hopes her time on the dance series will overlap with the first part of production for Switched at Birth. That way, she could spend time with all of her co-workers.

"We'll have to rehearse on the Switched at Birth stage, and I know they're going to love Artem there," Thompson said, referring to her Dancing With the Stars partner Artem Chignintsev.

The site also pointed out that Thompson will continue to direct episodes of Switched at Birth, so it looks like she'll still continue to spend time with that series even if she is involved with something else.

There have been a couple of rumors going back and forth on certain characters potentially returning to the ABC Family series, including RJ Mitte who played Campbell. In an interview with Celebified, he revealed that he would be happy to make another appearance.

"I can only hope," Mitte said. "I loved working on Switched, and Katie [Leclerc's] amazing and that whole team, that whole crew, is such a pleasure to work with."

Switched at Birth Season 4 is expected to air in January 2015.
