While out promoting his movie "The Expendables 2, " Jean-Claude Van Damme let it slip that he had an affair with Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue, it has been reported on Aug. 15.

"Let's just say it happened, so what? Who wants to know?... Sometimes you let go of stuff," he told The Guardian. "I don't know, maybe. Yes. OK. Yes, yes, yes. It happened. I was in Thailand, we had an affair... Sweet kiss, beautiful lovemaking. It would be abnormal not to have had an affair, she's so beautiful."

The affair allegedly occurred on the set of the 1994 film "Street Fighter," which the two stars were featured in. It also occurred while Van Damme was married to his fourth wife at the time, actress and racer Darcy LaPier.

Fox News reported that LaPier was firstly surprised and hurt to find out about the affair all these years later and secondly, that her ex-husband would mention it so many years later - and straight to the cameras in an interview.

"I was shocked he would talk to the press about this all these years later to gain some notoriety. I didn't know about it, I have had my feelings hurt and I feel betrayed," LaPier exclusively FOX411. "There is a lot of water under the bridge between us, but the fact is I was pregnant with our son at the time. He's almost 17 now and I wouldn't want him finding out all of this and being hurt by it too."

Minogue has yet to make a public response about Van Damme's revelation, and whether or not the alleged affair actually occurred.

The scandal has surfaced right before Van Damme's movie, the sequel to the Sylvester Stallone-created "The Expendables" action thriller, hits theatres on Aug. 17.
