He was handed a miracle when the Governor of New York chose to pardon him for his heroic actions aboard the Haunted Star, but Sonny (Maurice Benard) isn't entirely safe from possible prison time just yet on General Hospital.

Michael Further Alienated From Sonny

Not only is Michael (Chad Duell) furious that Sonny was pardoned from his life sentence for murdering AJ, but Kiki (Kristen Aldersen) is likely to be infuriated that he's free as well-especially after her mother, Ava (Maura West), went missing during the same prison escape which allowed Sonny to arrive at the Haunted Star and jump overboard with the bomb in time to save everyone's lives.

Of course, added to Kiki's heartbreak, and her suspicions about Sonny, she has learned that Ava had been shot by Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) and was hanging off the bridge when Sonny showed up-meaning she doesn't know if she should believe Sonny didn't purposely let Ava fall to her presumed death, because he had made his earlier intentions of killing Ava very well known.

Kiki and Carly Both Get Shocking News

Now, with Sonny freed and no longer headed back to Pentonville, he has come to Kiki's to see his and Ava's daughter, Avery, for the first time-but he will also encounter a hostile Kiki who thinks he helped her mother disappear for good.

"Did you know they called off the search for my mother?" she asks him and Carly (Laura Wright) in a preview clip for the Tuesday, Feb. 10 episode.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
