The 31-year-old Little Toy Guns singer is preparing to give birth to her first child in the next months, but the star insists that it won't stop her from putting together a fresh look each and every day.

"I've become friends with the round brush so I can style my hair as I blow it dry instead of blowing it dry then trying to curl it, which takes up a large portion of my time," explained Underwood during an interview with People on Monday.

The country music star is keen on saving time, but that doesn't mean she's willing to forgo makeup anytime soon.

"I still want to feel good about myself even as I'm just bopping around the house taking care of the baby," insisted the singer, "but I wanted to try some new things that might make my life a little more simple.

Underwood did admit that she does like her "comfy clothes", which she's relied on a lot over the last few months. When it comes to hair and makeup, however, there is no negotiating.

"I always have to have my hair and makeup somewhat done," she insisted. "I might be wearing sweat pants but the rest of me is done up."

Underwood and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, announced that they are expecting their first child together back in September. Underwood will give birth to their baby boy this spring.
