Rachel McAdams was allegedly injured on the set of HBO's True Detective this week.

Vince Vaughn Might Be Working Alone On 'True Detective' This Season

The actress had been filming scenes a new scene for the crime drama for the last few days when she hurt her left arm in the middle of production.

On Thursday Daily Mail released photos of the actress wincing as she held her arm on the set in downtown Los Angeles. McAdams was accompanied by two members of the crew, as well as a body double.

'True Detective' Still Waiting For Three Directors

The actress was dressed in costume for the role of Detective Ani Bezzerides, a detective whose dark past still haunts her. McAdams had been wearing a police vest and pair of dark sunglasses for the part when she was injured. She looked visibly uncomfortable following the incident, though she tried to laugh off the injury as she walked away. At this time, it doesn't look like the mishap will impact production.

This season True Detective follows the murder of a corrupt city manager in the state of California. The installment is set to star McAdams, Vince Vaughn (career criminal Frank Semyon), Colin Farrell (Detective Ray Velcoro) and Taylor Kitsch (Officer Paul Woodrugh).

Creator Nic Pizzolatto has returned to develop the season, as well as write all of the new episodes. Fast and Furious alum Justin Lin has been hired to direct the premiere.

True Detective will return on HBO for a second season mid-2015.
