Actor Samuel L. Jackson has some choice words for DC in terms of their ability to make the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice more exciting for fans.

Jackson, who has appeared in numerous Marvel Cinematic Universe movies as Nick Fury, doesn't think DC has the same excitement level among fans as Marvel does. The actor spoke with MTV News (featured below) about these differences recently.

"I think Marvel has figured out a way to make those movies accessible to the public [in a way] that DC hasn't," Jackson claimed.

DC is just getting started with their cinematic universe, with Man of Steel coming out in 2013. The next movie is Batman v Superman, which is the first movie on the big screen to feature both iconic superheroes at the same time.

However, Jackson just isn't impressed with the way DC has handled the buzz for the movie.

"I don't know why you can't get [people excited about] Batman, Superman [and can't get] people as juiced up to be a part of that," he said.

DC has certainly had success in the past. Even though Man of Steel was divisive among audiences it still grossed almost $300 million at the box office. Additionally, The Dark Knight trilogy was a huge critical and commercial success.

As of late, however, it's hard to deny that Marvel is beating DC pretty handily. It now has several movies coming out year to year and even with characters as obscure as the ones featured in Guardians of the Galaxy, they are raking in the dough every year.

It remains to be seen how Batman v Superman will do and if DC will be on an equal level to Marvel as they unveil more movies in the years to come.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
