"Twilight" star Kellan Lutz is one of the latest potential suitors for a role in the film adaptation of the E.L. James racy novel "Fifty Shades of Grey."  Several fans of the popular read now see him as a near ideal fit for the part of Elliot Grey, Christian's playful adopted older sibling.

According to a "Fifty Shades" Tumblr questionnaire, fans would clearly love to see Lutz as Elliot Grey, but would not be opposed to him playing the part of Kate character's brother, Ethan Kavanagh.

Parade had spoken to the 27-year-old actor about the possibility of playing a role in the highly-anticipated flick.

"I've been hearing about that! I haven't read the books; I need to though. The fans saw similarities between Emmett and Elliot.  I don't know much about either.  I know Christian is the lead but that's why I didn't want to play Edward [Cullen, in Twilight].  He wasn't really like me.  I'll trust the fans."

Although the hunky actor is one of the favorites as of late, Green Lantern's Ryan Reynolds has also been highly regarded for the supporting role.

Internet rumors have also brought some other actors into the mix as some favorites to play the part of Elliott Grey, which include Paul Wesley, Alex Pettyfer, Joseph Morgan and James Franco, amongst others.

The sexually explicit "Fifty Shades" premise revolves around a recent college graduate Anastasia Steele, who gets herself caught up in a dominant and submissive sexual relationship with billionaire Christian Grey, through an "agreement," as both explore the world of bondage, dominance, submission and masochism.

Up until this point, E.L. James and the producers attached to the future film have remained tight-lipped on the casting process. Only time will tell who ultimately ends up landing the highly-coveted roles in the sexually explicit movie.
