With only a few hours left until season 3 of The Mindy Project airs its finale episode, actress Mindy Kaling is opening up about the episode and she's also dishing on her on-screen romance and if the show will return for a 4th season.

The actress recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly to dish about her show and apparently she believes there's more stories to tell.

"I just don't think this is the end for (the cast)," Kaling told EW.  "I feel me and the writers have so many stories to tell, and I just have a good feeling that it's going to come back."

Now that Mindy and Danny are expecting parents, the story is far from over and fans are desperately hoping to find out what happens next.

"Danny as a father is really something to think about writing-I love that," she said. "And Mindy on maternity leave, Mindy on the playground with other moms. There's so many things! And I feel like the way we see it portrayed on TV-to have it be funny and not have it be tragic-I'm really excited."

Kaling also spoke about her on screen love interest and his performance in the show and she thinks that he deserves an Emmy for his performance in the season finale.

"It's a really romantic episode, and Chris Messina is so good in it," she said. "This is the one I would submit for an Emmy for him because I think he doesn't get thought about for those kinds of things but he just so deserves it." 

The finale episode Best Man, alludes to the idea that Mindy and her boyfriend Danny could be tying the knot and Kaling does confirm that there is a wedding but she doesn't say who will be saying 'I do.'

The season 3 finale of The Mindy Project airs March 24 at 9:30 ET on Fox.
