Nina Dobrev and Michael Trevino have officially filmed their final scenes on The Vampire Diaries, which is bittersweet.

Nina Dobrev Shares PHOTOS From Final Days Of Filming 'The Vampire Diaries'

Dobrev, who portrays Elena and quite a few of her distant relatives, revealed last week that she is done with her run on the series through a heartfelt Instagram post.

Trevino, who portrays Tyler, will not be returning to the supernatural series either, but the creator Julie Plec said there would always be a spot for Tyler in Mystic Falls.

Dobrev and Trevino wrapped their final scenes Wednesday and the season officially wrapped too. The pair has been on the series since the very beginning. They shared a funny, yet sad Instagram video with fans via Trevino's Instagram account.

They inhaled some helium and sounded like chipmunks as they shared their "I'm going to miss you" messages to each other and the fans.

That a series wrap for Elena & Tyler!!! It's been an incredible 6 years you guys. Thanks for sticking with us. We love you all! #TVD

Plus, since the two are departing from the series, they were gifted with adorable "goodbye" cakes that reflect their characters on the series. Plec shared photos of both cakes! Dobrev's was a "doppelgänger goodbye cake," which had four figures on it to represent her four characters being Elena, Katherine, Tatia (her role on The Originals) and Amara.

Trevino's cake was of a black wolf, which is totally fitting.

In other TVD news, the YouTube channel for The CW Television Network released another clip from the new episode that is airing tonight, April 16.

It's an awkward family breakfast between Elena, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Lily (Annie Wersching), which can be viewed below.
