Just days after Lindsay Lohan and her mother had a physical altercation in a limousine, Dina Lohan is urging her daughter to get a protective order against her father, Michael Lohan.

Lindsay made a desperate, tearful call to Michael on Oct. 9 and claimed she was in a car with her mother, who had caused a "gash" on Lindsay's leg. The actress said Dina was on cocaine and that she had recently given her mother $40,000 to save her home.

Michael recorded the phone call and leaked it to the press, which betrayed Lindsay's trust and motivated Dina to urge Lindsay to seek protection against him, according to TMZ.

"Sources close to the Lohans tell TMZ Dina's taking her war with Michael to the next level -- urging Lindsay to ask a judge for the protection order to stop her father from having any contact with her whatsoever ... including phone calls, texts, and emails," the site reported.

Though Lindsay recently spoke about feeling betrayed by her dad, TMZ reported that she is not a fan of Dina's idea of a protective order because she thinks it is "too extreme."

Michael commented on the rumors and said he has his own plan to investigate Dina and her relationship with ther children.

"I suppose Dina got wind that I want the court and Child Protective Services to investigate her," Michael told TMZ.

In an interview last week, Lindsay said the things she told her father on the phone call about her mother doing cocaine were untrue, and she admonished her father for leaking the call.

"He doesn't know what it means to be a father. He doesn't want to be a dad," she said of Michael. "It's unfortunate that I can't really call my dad and have a conversation if I'm having an argument with anyone."
