The 25-year-old former NFL star has many other charges pending against him.

For instance, he was indicted for the 2012 double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado and it appears as though that case will be the one tentatively heading to court for trial by 2016.

Convicted Murderer/Ex-NFLer Aaron Hernandez Plead Not Guilty For Witness Intimidation Charge

ABC News reported Thursday by way of AP that jury selection for the double murder trial will be tentatively scheduled for Dec. 1, according to Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke.

This judge also set a tentative start date of Jan. 4 for the trial.

Hernandez plead not guilty in both shootings. Hernandez allegedly shot them to death because one of the two men bumped into the then-NFL star inside a nightclub causing a drink to spill.

He also has a charge against him for intimidating a witness, Alexander Bradley, in regard to the double murder. Hernandez plead not guilty to this charge as well.

Prosecutors have requested that the double homicide and witness intimidation cases be consolidated, which the judge has agreed to for pretrial purposes, but he did not decide on Thursday if the witness intimidation charge will be included with the double murder charges once they go to trial.
