Yandy Smith of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop New York has celebrated her and Mendeecees Harris’ one year anniversary as he continues his time behind bars.

Harris is serving time after he pleaded guilty to charges that accused him of being a part of a drug ring that transported heroin and cocaine in several areas throughout New York. He was sentenced to eight years.

But his legal woes hasn’t stopped Smith, who tied the knot with Harris on Memorial Day of 2015, from supporting him as they bring in their first wedding anniversary.

She shared a collage of their photos and wrote an open letter in the caption.

“Who would have thought 10 years ago when we met I would be married to this man on this day last year… we I did. Call me a hopeless romantic but even as a spoken for woman at the time, I met this man and fell in love at first [sight].”

She then broken down how they met in Miami and ended up making a “connection” instantly.

“I knew this was like none other, having to settle as friends for the next 2 years was the best thing I ever did. He became my best friend ever…Shout out to those butterflies…. You kept me on my toes with this one! Cheers to a lifetime together baby boo…”

She then took a moment to call out her “haters.”
