Devastating news is rocking comedian Jim Carrey, whose on and off again girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead in her home on Monday night in an apparent suicide.

According to TMZ, LAPD responded to a call Monday night where they reportedly found the 28-year-old's body, alongside a note addressed to Carrey that reportedly references their break-up on Sept.24.

White reportedly died from an overdose of drugs after pills were discovered next to her body. Two friends found her when they went to check on her.

Carrey, 53, and White met in 2012 and dated a few months before splitting up. They rekindled their relationship this past May.

Carrey has yet to comment on the situation, though he did share a photo White took of him on his Twitter page Sept. 16, a few days before the couple broke up.

White's own social media feeds appear to tell a sad and heartbreaking tale that is foreboding in the days leading up to her body's discovery. She posted a photo to her Instagram page on the day of the couple's alleged breakup which showed a photo of flowers with a foreboding quite from W.B, Yeats.


"Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, and dance upon the mountains like a flame," she wrote.

She also posted a message on Twitter that appeared to be a goodbye.

"Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. Peace and love to yo all," she wrote.
