Golden Globes Predictions: 'The Artist' a Likely Winner
Several movie critics share the same tastes when it comes to "The Artist" to win the Best Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes tomorrow.
The silent movie won the Best Movie of 2011 at the Critics' Choice Awards 2012 last week and is considered Oscar's best picture front runner.
Critics also say "The Descendants" will win the Golden Globe for the Best Drama because it tells such an emotional story and George Clooney will get the Golden Globe for the Best Actor in a Drama for "The Descendants.
However they differ when it comes to the Best Actress in a Drama, some thinking Viola Davis will win the Golden Globe for "The Help" and others predicting Meryl Streep to take the statue home for "The Iron Lady."
Viola Davis won best actress for "The Help" at the Critics' Choice Awards.
The Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical will go to Jean Dujardin for "The Artist" according to most predictions and the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical award to Michelle Williams for "My Week With Marilyn."
Another strong prediction critics agree on is that host Ricky Gervais may likely offend somebody, yet the comedian ensured he is "not trying to hurt anyone's feelings."
