Jenny McCarthy has offered her condolences to former flame Jim Carrey as he mourns the loss of his on/off girlfriend Cathriona White.

McCarthy was asked if she had reached out to Carrey since news broke that the 28-year-old had died after allegedly overdosing on pills, while walking through LaGuardia airport earlier this week. The Dirty Sexy Funny host and Donnie Loves Jenny star tried to ignore the question and keep the situation private until she was forced to answer, simply saying he was in her prayers.

"Just prayers," she said. "Just prayers."

Cathriona White Dead In Apparent Suicide

McCarthy, who is now married to Donnie Wahlberg dated Carrey from 2005-2010.

White's body was found on Monday and she was pronounced dead at the scene with pills near her body. She also left a note for Carrey, where she referenced their recent breakup on September 24 as a reason for her actions.

An autopsy is scheduled for a later date to determine her exact cause of death.

Since the news broke, Carrey has released a statement about White's death, calling her a delicate Irish flower.

"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona," he said. "She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
