Bieber Hamster Dies: PAC Had 50k Twitter Followers [VIDEO]
Justin Bieber and his fans are mourning the loss of PAC, the singer's beloved hamster.
The hamster was given to Tori McClure, 18, a fan and aspiring singer, in December. When Beiber gave the hamster to McLure, he simply said "You gotta take care of PAC," reported TMZ.
McLure tweeted a picture of her with PAC today along with, "He will be one of my sweetest memories! Thank u @justinbieber so much again. He will always be OUR boy."
The hamster also had its own Twitter account, along with over 50,000 followers.
Bieber first showed off PAC with an Instagram photo in October and was accused of animal cruelty for handing off the hamster in a cage in Atlanta over a fence.
The California Hamster Association told TMZ that hamsters are fragile animals and easily succumb to illness and death when there is a sudden environmental change.
"The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom," the rep told TMZ.
Hamsters usually live for two years, according to the National Hamster Council.
