John Boyega Birthday: 4 Times We Fell In Love With The 'Star Wars' Actor [VIDEO]
John Boyega is having a pretty great year. He made box office history with his performance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it looks like that's just the beginning of what will be a long and impressive career. This is definitely going to be a birthday to remember, as Boyega turns 24 on March 17th. Star Wars fans are sure to make it a memorable occasion for the celebrity (especially as they get ready for the next episode of the franchise).
But John Boyega is more than just a talented actor: he's a charming, funny, and charismatic performer who audiences can't get enough of. To celebrate his birthday, we present just a few of the times we couldn't help but love John Boyega.
That Time He Went To a Children's Hospital
This little stormtrooper Daniel had a wonderful wish after seeing the force awakens. Daniel currently lives with a brain tumour and rather than having Finn to himself he wanted Finn to meet the kids at the Royal London hospital and give them some toys. I stayed in character while I was with this brave boy asking him what a car was. He taught Finn about everything earth related! Really thankful for the opportunity this child granted me and I'm just humbled! I hope I played a little part in making you smile young stormtrooper. ❤️❤️❤️

Talk about method acting: when John Boyega visited children at the Royal London Hospital, he didn't mess around. The actor stayed in character as Finn the whole time, swapping stories with the kids and teaching them about life in a galaxy far, far away. The experience was definitely out of this world for everyone involved.
That Time He Danced

Boyega may be a serious, classically trained actor who's wowed people on stage and screen, but that doesn't mean he can't cut loose and have some fun when the moment strikes him. No wonder he was so deft at wielding that light saber. Also, those are some intense moves—could we possibly see him in some dancing-focused roles in the future?
That Time He Freaked Out His Fans

Boyega isn't above a good-natured prank (as confirmed by his costars on set), but this one is brilliant in its simplicity. Boyega noticed two fans watching the Star Wars trailer as they waited to see the film. He walked up behind them and waited. The results are priceless.
That Time He Embraced The Bromance
Who made this? I love this! And him of course #Mybestfriend A photo posted by @john_boyega on Jan 8, 2016 at 4:57am PST
It's no secret that John Boyega loves costar Harrison Ford. Like, a lot. To the point where their epic (and somewhat one-sided) bromance has become a story in its own right. So when fans not only embraced the love but chose to celebrate it, Boyega was delighted by the results. And really, who's going to say no to letting Boyega crash on their couch?
