Zoe Saldana's recent reveal about the Star Trek Beyond uniform during the reshoots of the film threw fans in a tizzy.

While Saldana, who plays Enterprise communications officer Uhura, also wears a sleeveless uniform in the movie, her latest Instagram photo revealed the classic Star Trek uniform—with full sleeves—from the '60s is also still very much part of the mix.

Now Yahoo! Movies has pulled out an interview from a visit to the set of the movie and revealed how Saldana felt about the new uniform.

"I do have my stripes, just like each and every crew member on the ship. I'm very happy about that," Saldana said.

She went on to talk about the longer-sleeved uniform that she also dons.

"It's still short. I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' But you know what. I just had twins and the fact that I'm able to wear this little dress seven months later, I'm grateful!" she said.

Star Trek Beyond is the third entry in the rebooted sci-fi franchise, which already includes Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek: Into the Darkness (2013). The first two were helmed by J.J. Abrams, who's now busy heading up the Star Wars sequels, so this one is directed by Fast & Furious reviver Justin Lin with the familiar crew of Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Bones (Karl Urban), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Sulu (John Cho) and Chekov (Anton Yelchin) all set to return.

One new face to look forward to will be Idris Elba, although nothing is known about his character right now. He's being played as the surprise card, much like Benedict Cumberbatch in Star Trek Into the Darkness.

In other latest casting news, it was revealed that Lydia Wilson will also be joining the crew, but little is known about her character so far.
