Scheana Marie spoke of her husband's addiction struggles during the Vanderpump Rules reunion special.

After facing marital troubles due to Mike Shay's pill use last year, Scheana Marie addressed her suggestion to Shay, in which she claimed he should continue to consume alcohol, but not get drunk.

"I was doing the best I could. I didn’t know how to deal with that and for me, if he says, ‘I’m not stopping drinking. I’m not an alcoholic,’ my advice was, ‘Why don’t you just try and cut back?’" Scheana Marie explained to host Andy Cohen. "So, it was just us trying to figure out how he could keep drinking, if that’s what he chose, and how we could do it in a way where we were not fighting because he was getting drunk. And it was really f**king difficult.”

Although Scheana Marie faced difficult challenges within her marriage, she said she and Shay are now in a much happier, and more educated place.

“For everything that we’ve been through this year, as terrible as it was, I’m so glad that it all happened and I’m able to watch the show back," Scheana Marie continued, "and even though I look like an a** and I look uneducated and I look ignorant and I look stupid, I see all of that and I’ve taken that all and i’ve bettered myself so much. I feel like I’m more educated on addiction and alcoholism and I just want to say I’m so f**king proud of him. He hasn’t drank in over three months.”

As for what Shay had to say, he told Cohen he quit pills cold turkey.

“I had once choice: Save my marriage and choose Scheana, or choose drugs. It was sobering," he said.
