Ashley Greene's Los Angeles condo will have to be completely gutted and four other units in her building will need work done following a blaze on March 22, sources told TMZ.

A candle left burning overnight in the living room of Greene's West Hollywood Granville Towers condo reportedly started the fire that resulted in the death of one of her dogs.

The Twilight actress was home at the time with her boyfriend and brother when the fire broke out on the living room sofa. They were sleeping when the fire started but quickly evacuated before anyone was hurt. When they realized Greene's two dogs were still inside the home, the two men rushed back inside to save them. One dog died and the other is expected was reportedly taken to Animal Control to be checked out. A source told PEOPLE Greene's dogs were two fox terriers.

The damages to Greene's condo include walls being torn down and the floor removed, according to the gossip website. Moisture damage from the fire requires four other units in the building to be repaired and sources said the unit directly above Greene's was the one that needed to be evacuated other than the actress' own.

Ten fire trucks arrived at the scene of the seven-story building, and Greene and a friend were "covered in soot and are extremely distraught looking" when they spoke with officials on March 22. according to RadarOnline. Los Angeles Fire Department Inspector Johnson revealed that paramedics brought two individuals to a nearby hospital but details about their identification were not confirmed. The website noted that 55 firefighters were at the scene trying to put out the fire.

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation, KTLA reported.

A similar incident happened earlier in the year when an unattended candle caused a blaze in the home of a celebrity. In January, a fire started in the Beverly Hills home of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne after they left a candle burning in their living room before going to bed. Ozzy was injured in the blaze and required medical attention after singeing his hair and injuring his hand trying to stop the fire.
