Kim Kardashian's estranged husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, was close to Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and may have even been dating her at the same time that Vonn was starting to cozy up with the world's number one golfer, Tiger Woods, according to Us Weekly.

The report comes just a week after Woods and Vonn took to Facebook to announce themselves as an official couple.

"Woods wasn't Vonn's only suitor," a close friend of Vonn's told Us Weekly. "Bachelor No. 2 was none other than Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries."

The source told the magazine that both Vonn and Humphries are natives of Minnesota and that they "had a lot to talk about" but the confidant said things never got physical.

In a June 2012 tweet, Humphries, 28, posted on his twitter: "Hanging with a fellow Minnesotan @lindseyvonn. Gotta get her back on lake Minnetonka soon!"

To which the 28-year-old Vonn replied, "I know! Def need to get back!!"

Although it is unknown whether or not Humphries and Vonn were ever more than just friends, the former Olympic skiing champion made it clear that her final choice was Woods. The couple had kept their relationship private for some time before the Facebook announcement.

Woods, 37, won the Bay Hill PGA tournament on Monday thereby retaking the number one ranking among the world's best golfers.

The couple have more in common than their status as world class athletes, however.

Vonn divorced fellow Olympian Thomas Vonn in January. Woods' divorce, which was far more messy, was sparked after a post-Thanksgiving car crash outside his Florida home which led to many women coming forward and making allegations of infidelity.

Humphries too tasted a nasty divorce which has played out in the media after spending less than 3 months married to Kim Kardashian in 2010.

Earlier today, Star Magazine released a report that Vonn was cheating on Woods with Humphries.
