Debby Ryan has commented on her recent scandal.

On Wednesday, E! News announced that the Disney Channel star was arrested for DUI on April 5 when she reportedly got into an accident in Los Angeles. She was making a left hand turn when she crashed into another car and was then arrested on felony DUI. But the site added that authorities reduced her offense to a misdemeanor.

She was released on $100,000 bail and was charged with two misdemeanor counts for driving under the influence and having a blood alcohol level at .08 or above.

The actress took to her Twitter page on Wednesday to apologize for her actions. She pointed out how she "disappointed everyone" especially since she's worked so hard to "set a good example."

Ryan has been open on trying to set examples where she's discussed women taking on careers and the difficulties of being overlooked.

"I feel like it's so easy for us as women to be inspired by men and to try and do it like them," the actress told Clevver News. "But there are so many female role models that are younger than me, or my age, that I'm around that are so talented and kicking butt."

Ryan also revealed that she admires people who just go out there and give it their all.

"I think it's mostly just people who try the best that they can," she said. "I think we're all at different levels in our lives and something that I'm able to do and having always been able to do...been able to find inspiration and beauty, and literally anyone, everyone has something that they're good at so the people I mentor, I learn a lot from and I grow a lot from."
