There's no doubt that Christina Aguilera is one singer who has been in the business long enough to know what's good and what's bad when it comes to looking out for the next best thing.

And that's what the chart topper is opening up about her own mistakes and imperfections when it comes to her singing voice and how fellow songstress Sia is teaching her a thing or two in the process, too.

In a new interview with Marie Claire this month, the blonde-haired beauty says that Australia singer Sia is one of her biggest idols, as she turns to her whenever she's in need of some inspiration.

"So many singers think it's about that huge note and I learned especially from people like Sia and Linda Perry that the beauty often comes in the tender moments and the slight imperfections," the "Genie in a Bottle" singer told the magazine. "It's about knowing when to use that vulnerable voice and then when to go for the huge note."

Aguilera also says that imparting her knowledge when it comes to singing and making it big in the business is crucial now more than ever, especially since she's a coach on the hit NBC show The Voice.

She explained, "I think in any profession when you have the chance to give back and help shape the career of someone just starting you should. We all have had mentors in our lives, that one person who helped you turn a corner or make a breakthrough in your craft and we each should be that for others."
