New reports claim things have gotten so serious for Miranda Lambert and Anderson East that the couple are planning to get hitched this summer, but there's a big catch to their plans which could involve Lambert's ex-husband Blake Shelton and his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

According to Hollywood Life, both couples are secretly engaged and headed to the altar this summer, but there's a big problem with the planning that could affect anyone who stayed friends with both Lambert and Shelton after their divorce, because Stefani and Lambert both reportedly have their sights set on a July 4th wedding date.

"This is Gwen's biggest nightmare," a source said. "She will be livid if Miranda sends out invited for the Fourth. Gwen doesn't want to share the spotlight with anyone--least of all, her groom's ex-wife."

Supposedly, Stefani is ready to ask Lambert to consider changing her plans and moving her planned date, but she may not have an easy time of it because Lambert will likely find the idea of weddings on the same date to be hilarious and fun.

"[Miranda] thinks it would be a hoot if they both got married on the same day," the source said. "She is competitive by nature. She guarantees her nuptials will be a hell of a lot more fun."

In addition, the competition could heat up since both reportedly want to have the same country-style themed affair, though Lambert is eyeing something either in Nashville or Texas, while Stefani has her heart set on Shelton's home state of Oklahoma.

However, the source cautions, if getting the wedding she wants requires beating Lambert to the punch, Stefani won't hesitate to do so since she doesn't want to start an all-out war with her husband's ex.

"If she feels the gauntlet needs to be thrown down, she will do it," the source said.

However, it should be noted that engagement rumors have followed both couples almost from the minute they confirmed their romances, so it seems unlikely that these ones are any more realistic.
