Matt Bomer opened up on life as a dad and actor in a previous report.

On Tuesday, People caught up with the actor who revealed that he does what he can to set a good example for his three sons, Kit, Walker and Henry. Even though they might be too young to see some of their dad's movies, Bomer wants to show them that they can go after what they want in life.

"I tend toward more adult fare and I would love to do a voice in an animated film or something the boys could go see, but at a certain point I made peace with myself about it," the actor said. "I guess they'd rather have a parent who really pursued his dreams and what he was passionate about."

Bomer, who's been married to publicist Simon Halls for approximately five years now, also mentioned that no matter what happens, his family will always be number one in his life.

"At the end of the day they are my first priority," he said.

Bomer worked with Ryan Gosling in their most recent film The Nice Guys where they bonded over being parents.

"Ryan and I sought solace in each other regularly," Bomer revealed. "When we started this movie he had a baby- he just had a baby. It's a tricky balancing act."

Gosling is a dad to his daughters, Esmerelda, 1, and Amada, two weeks.

The Nice Guys revolves around private investigators on a case for an apparent suicide of an adult film star in 1970s Los Angeles. Other stars in the film include Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger.

The film hits theaters this Friday. Check out the trailer below.
