'Blake Shelton Cheating on Miranda Lambert: ACM Host Says I Love Being in Tabloids
Cheating rumors constantly follow Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert but they take the reports lightheartedly, with Shelton joking about the attention he receives for constantly being mentioned in the tabloids.
The Voice judge, and recent co-host of the Academy of Country Music Awards, sat down with CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King in an interview that aired Monday and opened up about his marriage. He addressed rumors of infidelity by saying, "I love it."
Shelton has been in the tabloids more and more over the past year and a half and spoke about his new fame.
"I honestly do love it. I just know, to have that kind of coverage, if I'm popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff -- that's awesome," he said. "I have an album coming out! Put my album right next to it and pick it up."
Shelton and Lambert married in 2011, according to Us Weekly. The couple battled infidelity rumors a few times already and when asked about the allegations, Shelton added, "I just don't think my fans either are buying into it or have time to give a crap - who has time to care these days?"
The 36-year-old admitted the marriage turns difficult at times but he also spoke fondly of his wife, saying, "I don't think that I ever really had any doubts."
"We had our ups and downs for damn sure along the way. I just could not imagine her not being in my life," he said. "I just couldn't get over her, I know I can't."
Shelton co-hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday with Luke Bryan. That night, Lambert took home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year and Single Record of the Year. She and Shelton shared the Song of the Year award for Over You.
